I was born in Avcilar village, Edremit in 1944. My father was primary school teacher and my mother was a housewife. I graduated from primary school in 1955, Ankara Yenimahalle secondary school in 1958, Ankara Gazi high school in 1961, Ankara University Political Science Faculty Treasury and Economics Department in 1965. I completed my military service in 1967. In 1968, I graduated from Istanbul University Economics Faculty Management Economics Institute and between 1968 and 1970 I did doctorate studies in Management Faculty.
As a doctorate student of the ministry, I participated a language training for nearly a year in England. I have been working in the private sector since 1968 and I manage language and computer courses in Izmir since 1982.
My overseas travels started in 1971 and continues with the same speed. In the last years, I visit Unesco World Heritage sites.
So far, I visited more than 135 countries and had a oportunity to visit more than 510 Unesco Worl Heritage Sites out of 890 (10.02.2010). During my trips, I analyse the impacts of being accepted in World Heritage list to those places and regions.
I observe closely the efforts of the managements in promoting their speciality of being a World Heritage. In the last four years, I am trying to share my knowledge with various communities in different cities of Turkiye.
My first book named ‘Voyage to Unknown’ published. My second book called Unesco World Heritage and Turkiye completed in 2009.
I am trying to do my best to see the same in Turkiye after observing the importance given to Unesco World Heritage Sites and the contribution to their countries in many countries especially in China and Italy.I am married and have two children.
